Create your Discord bot
Pro runs under your own Discord bot, so it carries your brand. Setting one up is a one-time job of about five minutes. Follow the steps, then paste the token on your Buddy bot page.
-
1
Open the Discord Developer Portal
Sign in with the Discord account that should own the bot.
Open Developer Portal -
2
Create a New Application
Top-right, click New Application, give it your brand name, accept the terms and create it.
-
3
Add the bot and copy its token
In the left menu open Bot. Click Reset Token, confirm, then Copy the token.
⬦ Treat the token like a password. You only see it once - copy it now.
-
4
Turn on the privileged intents
On the Bot page, switch on all three: Presence, Server Members and Message Content. Server Members is the one that matters most: without it Discord will not tell your bot who is in your server, so a backup records no member list and nobody's roles can be handed back if the server ever has to be rebuilt. Do it now - we check, and your dashboard will keep asking until it is on.
-
5
Invite the bot to your server
Left menu, OAuth2, URL Generator. Tick these scopes:
botapplications.commandsThen under Bot Permissions tick:
Manage ChannelsView ChannelsSend MessagesEmbed LinksCopy the generated URL at the bottom, open it, pick your server and Authorize.
-
6
Paste the token in Zorabot
Open your Buddy bot page on the dashboard and paste the token. The bot comes online within a minute and sets up its channels.
Go to my dashboard
Keep the token safe
Your bot token is a password to your bot. Zorabot encrypts it at rest and never shows it again. If it ever leaks, click Reset Token in the portal and paste the new one.
